In October, Microsoft rolled out a dark mode feature for its Office apps on macOS Mojave to Insiders in the Fast ring. As promised, that feature is now available to a wider set of Microsoft Office users on Mac with an Office 365 subscription.

According to the new release notes issued by Microsoft, the update bumps up the Office apps' version number to 16.20.0 (Build 18120801). The latest Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook iterations now support the dark mode user interface on an operating system level, which was introduced by Apple at its macOS 10.14 Mojave announcement back in June.

For example, embedded fonts have been added to Word in order to unify the appearance of a document's text on every PC. PowerPoint has also been updated to allow users to insert photos taken from an iPhone into a slide document with the integration of Apple's Continuity Camera.
